Is the I Ching fortune telling?
Short answer: the I Ching is not fortune telling, and we do not run it as one. It is a mirror for a moment, and the difference matters enough to spell out.

What fortune telling does
Fortune telling hands you a future: you will meet someone, the job will fall through, the money will come back in March. It puts you in the passenger seat and makes the outcome somebody else's business.
It also tends to require trust in the teller. That is the shape of the relationship — you receive, they know.
What we do instead
We read a situation. You ask one question, the hexagram is cast from the moment or from your own words, and you get a description of where you are standing and what this kind of moment tends to ask.
Then you decide. Nothing here is a verdict about your future, and no reading is ever a reason not to act.
What we never do
We never diagnose. We never promise outcomes — no “things will get better by spring”, no cures, no guarantees about an exam, a court case, a diagnosis or a person's heart.
We never tell you that you do not need real help. If what you are carrying needs a doctor, a lawyer or a friend, a hexagram is not a substitute — and we say so.

So is this just entertainment?
It is a cultural reading. Call it a reflection practice: it is for thinking with, and it is honest about what it is not.
Will a reading tell me if they still love me?
No — and be careful with anyone who says they can. What a reading can do is look at what you are holding and what to do with it.
Can it replace therapy or medical advice?
No, and it is not meant to. For anything medical, psychological or legal, please speak to a professional.
