The short version

YUBAO was built to be a quiet place, not a data collector. You do not need an account to use it. We do not sell, rent or trade anything about you — because we hold almost nothing to begin with.

What we collect

• Nothing, while you cast. Your birthday, your question and your hexagram are computed in your own browser. No chart, question or answer is stored on our servers.
• Your question text, sent once for a reading. When you receive a written reading, your question (if you wrote one) and the hexagram facts are sent to our AI scribe (DeepSeek, a third party) solely to compose that reading. It is not saved by us and is not used to build profiles.
• Your consent choice. Whether you accepted this policy is remembered in your own browser (local storage) so we do not ask twice. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
• Standard hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps routine technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability, as any web host does.

Cookies & trackers

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or social media pixels. There is nothing to opt out of — the consent banner you see exists because we prefer to be transparent rather than clever.

If you subscribe (future)

When YUBAO introduces subscriptions, we will collect only what the service needs: an email address and payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. We will update this page before any of that begins, and you will be asked for fresh consent.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the CCPA you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, and withdraw any consent. Write to privacy@yubao.app and we will answer — since we hold so little, the answer is usually quick.

A note on the readings

YUBAO presents the plum-blossom oracle and BaZi as cultural heritage and entertainment — a mirror for reflection, not medical, legal, psychological or financial advice. Treat every reading the way you would a poem about the weather: enjoy it, keep what helps, leave the rest.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will tell you before it affects you — never silently after.
